Almost Famous

We love the Blue Devils, and we were glad that the welcome home celebration was open to the public so the whole family could welcome the team back to Durham. As we walked up to Cameron Indoor Stadium, Hailey sat atop my shoulders shouting "Let's Go Duke!" at everyone that passed by.
The team's plane was delayed leaving Indianapolis and we ended up waiting in the stadium for nearly 2 hours before they finally showed up. By the time the team came out, Blake was asleep in my arms, and shortly thereafter, Hailey fell asleep in Lindsay's arms.
Blake and I showed up in a couple of online news galleries the next day; here are the photos from both the Raleigh News & Observer as well as the Charlotte Observer (thanks to Peter and Jonas for passing these along).

oh, and lest Hailey feel left out...check out the bottom left-hand corner of this one :)

Also, I have now been informed that Blake made a cameo on the local news that evening...now if only I can figure out how to get a hold of the footage.

Nancy, I feel your pain. I always pick Duke, but this year I was trying to be "objective" or something, so I didn't pick them in my family bracket pool. I'm ashamed of myself. But I've learned my lesson.
